School of Mechanical Engineering SMVDU hosts Week Long Training on 3D Printing
REAI May 21: A weeklong training on 3D Printing was conducted at the School of Mechanical Engineering, SMVDU. The training was conducted by Mr.Shane from Adroitec Information Systems Pvt. Ltd.conducted the training session.
The training included the fundamentals of 3D printing and hands-on sessions on the newly commissioned 3D printing facility at School of Mechanical Engineering. The training was attended by students, scholars, staff and faculty members of the school. Pertinently, School of Mechanical Engineering, SMVDU is offering B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering with Honors and Minor specialization in 3D Printing and M.Tech. Smart Manufacturing (Mechanical Engineering) from the academic year 2024-25. Dr. Yatheshth Anand (Head, School of Mechanical Engineering) lauded the efforts of the staff and faculty members and conveyed thanks to the Prof. Pragati Kumar (HVC SMVDU) and SMVDU administration for the support in developing the state of the art 3D Printing facility in the school. Dr. Mir Irfan Ul Haq (Assistant Professor, SME) coordinated the training program. The school is set to organize more such events for students and professionals of the region in near future.
