SDM Katra launches Intensified Mission Indradhanush 5.0
REASI, August 07: The Intensified Mission Indradhanush 5.0-the vaccine catch up campaign focusing to reach out to children aged between 0 to 5 years and pregnant women having missed any vaccine in the national immunization schedule, was launched at Community Health Centre Katra.
This is a special immunization drive targeting partially vaccinated or dropout individuals. The first phase of IMI 5.0 would be carried out from 07-08-2023 to 12-08-2023. Health Block Katra has identified 29 left out beneficiaries through head-count-survey who would be benefited by this campaign.
India’s universal immunization programme provides free vaccines against 12 life threatening diseases which could be prevented by vaccination. During the inaugural session Dr Preeti Sharma Consultant Paediatrician, explained in detail the mechanism and benefits of IMI 5.0. She further elaborated that Health Block Katra has already achieved above 97% target of universal immunization programme and Asha/ ANM/ AWW work aggressively to ensure that no beneficiaries is left out un-vaccinated.
