SDM Khaltse chairs meeting to review preparedness for Independence Day

Leh, July 28: To assess the preparedness for the upcoming 76th Independence Day 2023 celebration, a meeting was chaired by SDM, Khaltse , Suhail Ahmad with the HODs at sub-division Khaltse.

The objective was to review and finalize arrangements to ensure a smooth and grand celebration of Independence Day.  

During the meeting, he called for collective efforts from all the stakeholders to make the event successful.

Various aspects related to security measures, traffic management, sanitation, medical facilities, and cultural programs were discussed at length. The meeting also witnessed discussions on organizing cultural events, flag-hoisting ceremonies, and parades to commemorate the spirit of independence and pay homage to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s freedom.

Additionally, SDM instructed them to ensure that all the necessary arrangements are made in advance for smooth conduct of the celebration.
