SDM Paddar inaugurates CBC’s 5-day Multimedia Exhibition on Flagship Schemes
KISHTWAR, AUGUST 10: Amid the ongoing Annual Shree Machail Yatra 2024, the Sub Divisional Magistrate Padder, Dr. Amit Kumar, today inaugurated a 5-day multimedia exhibition highlighting the flagship schemes of the Government of India, including the New Criminal Laws of 2023 in the remote area of Padder of District Kishtwar.
The event, organized by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, Field Office, Doda, venues at the Chattergarh, Sports Stadium Gulabgarh, Padder, is part of a series of outreach activities organized by the CBC across the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
Dr. Amit Kumar commended the CBC’s efforts in bringing the event to the remote region of Padder, particularly during the ongoing Machail Yatra, which sees a large number of devotees. He urged attendees to visit the exhibition and gain firsthand awareness of various government schemes.
The 5-day exhibition showcases various welfare and flagship schemes of the Government through a series of photo exhibits and audio-visual media. A special section of the exhibition is dedicated to the Budget 2024, New Criminal Laws 2024, and Mission LiFE, highlighting key aspects of these initiatives.
The aim of the multimedia exhibition is to raise awareness among the public regarding the various initiatives and welfare programs of the Government of India.
The Director, CBC, Jammu, Ghulam Abbas, who presided over the inaugural function, provided a detailed overview of the CBC’s structure and activities in the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. He also briefed the audience on the outreach activities planned during the event, emphasizing that these programs are designed to help people benefit from various public welfare schemes.
Various departments, including ICDS, Health, Animal Husbandry, Forestry, Agriculture, Handicrafts, and Handloom, set up stalls showcasing the central-sponsored schemes of their respective departments during the inaugural day.
Among others present at the event were Khursheed Yousuf, Field Publicity Officer, Udhampur; Manjeet Singh Katoch, Tehsildar Atholi; Gurnam Singh from CBC Udhampur and Vikram Uppal from CBC Doda.
The exhibition is open to the public until August 14, 2024, during which visitors can participate in an open quiz competition and enjoy cultural programs.
