Secretary Dharmarth Trust visits Abhimukteshwar, Umapati Mahadev temples; reviews arrangements for Maha Shivratri Festival
SAMBA, February 16 : Ashok Kumar (SSP Retd), Secretary J&K Dharmarth Trust today visited Umapati Mahadev Temple in Purmandal and Abhimukteshwar Temple in Utterbehni and reviewed arrangements for ensuing Shivratri Festival.
During his visit, the Secretary offered prayers at the aforesaid shrines and directed for making adequate arrangements for devotees on Mahashivratri Festival. He also discussed necessary arrangements being made for the convenience of the public.
Giving a detailed account of the preparations made by the Dharmarth Trust, Ashok Kumar said that all the necessary facilities including potable water supply, round the clock electricity, public conveniences, medical aid, etc. shall be made available to the visiting devotees on the festival day. He said that Dharmarth Trust through its coordinated efforts and cooperation of UT administration has ensured that no devotee faces any kind of difficulty during the period of festivity.
Stressing on the need to make the upcoming religious event a great attraction for the people, the Secretary asked the employees of the Trust to work out impressive programmes within the available resources to ensure maximum public participation. He said that the stress should be laid on connecting the young generation with the rich cultural and traditional values of the religion.
Meanwhile, Ashok Kumar also participated in the meeting called by the Deputy Commissioner, Samba, Anuradha Gupta (JKAS) in the Conference Hall of her office in connection with celebration of Mahashivratri Festival at Umapati Mahadev and Abhimukteshwar Temples. Officers of all concerned departments were present in the meeting.
The Deputy Commissioner has directed all the concerned officers to place in all the arrangements well in advance so that devotees face no inconvenience during festive occasions.
