Secretary DLSA Ganderbal conducts surprise Visit to Subsidiary Jail Dignibal

GANDERBAL, OCTOBER 28: Secretary, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Ganderbal, Sheikh Babar Hussain today made a surprise visit to Subsidiary Jail Dignibal Ganderbal.

The objective of the visit was to review the conditions of inmates and under-trial prisoners, ensure their well-being and aware them about their rights.

The Secretary inspected the barracks, enquired about problems faced by prisoners, and interacted with inmates to understand their concerns regarding regimen, food, sanitation, hygiene, and access to legal representation.

The visit demonstrates DLSA Ganderbal’s commitment to protecting the rights of under-trial prisoners and ensuring their welfare.
