Secretary DLSA visits District Jail Kupwara, reviews facilities available to inmates

KUPWARA, AUGUST 24: Secretary/ Sub-Judge District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Kupwara, Manzoor Ahmad Khan today visited District Jail Kupwara to review the facilities available for the jail inmates lodged therein.

He was accompanied by Deputy LADC Kupwara, Assistant LADC, Para Legal Volunteers and other officials of DLSA Kupwara.

The Secretary DLSA headed team conducted inspection of the jail barracks and interacted with the jail inmates, to inquire about their grievances. The team also visited the kitchen area of the Jail to take the stock of the food & hygienic conditions.

The team also interacted with the Jail inmates having health related issues and stressed upon PLVs to record their grievances for early redressal.

The Secretary also inspected Prison Legal Aid Clinic (PLAC) to review the working of Para Legal Volunteers engaged therein.
