Secy Revenue interacts with newly posted Tehsildars
JAMMU, AUGUST 02: Secretary, Revenue, Dr. Piyush Singla today held an interaction with newly posted Tehsildars at Civil Secretariat here.
During the interaction, Dr. Singla gave a brief outline of the online services of the department to the Tehsildars, a major initiative towards good governance and ease of convenience to the citizens. He informed the Tehsildars that the department is providing 29 online services including Fard, Mutation, Land Pass Book, CLU, Property Card, Extract of Jamabandi/Girdawri, Domicile Certificate, registration of documents etc through https://web.umang.gov.in/ https://jansugam.jk.gov.in/ and https://krevenue.nic.in/ portals and most of these services are covered under PSGA, 2011.
The Secretary highlighted that Revenue department has switched over to delivery of online services to the public which has resulted into less public interface and speedy disposal of the services viz-a-viz decline to corrupt practices. He further said that there is a monitoring mechanism to check the disposal viz a viz pendency. Therefore, the chair exhorted the officers to acquaint with the system, the process of disposal of service on the portal, track on each service/ application as per the timelines.
Regarding PSGA, Dr. Singla said that all the services provided by the Revenue department have been notified under Public Services Guarantee Act and there are timelines fixed for disposal of services covered under PSGA. He asked them to ensure all the services are displayed in Tehsil Officers/Niabats/Patwar Khana along with name of service, competent authority and timelines for disposal of such services.
Dr. Singla further apprised the officers to hold regular revenue courts, file the objections/response in the court cases wherever pending, hold grievance redressal camps in the field and attest the pending mutation as well. He exhorted upon Tehsildars who are at the cutting edge of the administration, to dispose off all the applications within the PSGA Timelines and also extend handholding to the citizens by organizing camps in villages/ Panchayats/Khidmat Centres to encourage them to avail all services through online mode without any physical interface with revenue offices.
