Secy Tribal Affairs administers Integrity Pledge at Bandipora
BANDIPORA, October 30: On the sidelines of Public Darbar, Secretary, Tribal Affairs, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary in presence of Chairperson DDC Abdul Gani Bhat and DC Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad administered Integrity Pledge during the commencement of Vigilance Awareness Week 2023 at Conference Hall, Mini Secretariat here.
Besides all the officers and officials of the administration, Vice Chairperson; DDC Kowsar Shafeeq; DDCs, BDCs, President MC Bandipora Basharat Najar and PRIs were also present on the occasion.
ADDC Bandipora Ali Afsar Khan; SSP Bandipora Lakshay Sharma; Nodal Officer Coordination Mohammad Ashraf Hakak; besides other senior officers also participated in the event.
The event commenced with the Integrity Pledge, in which all present swore to stand against corruption in all forms and to maintain the highest standards of integrity in their personal and professional lives.
Vigilance Week is an annual event that aims to promote ethical governance, foster integrity, and raise awareness about the perils of corruption. This year, the theme for Vigilance Week is Say no to corruption; Commit to the Nation ‘emphasizing the collective effort required to combat corruption and pave the way for a more transparent and just society.
In his address, Dr Shahid stressed on the significance of collective efforts in creating a corruption-free society, where government resources are utilized for the betterment of the people.
It was given out that a series of activities have been scheduled throughout the week to aware people about the ill effects of corruption and ways to combat it.
The event concluded with a commitment from all attendees to work together to eliminate corruption, thereby ensuring a brighter and more prosperous future for the region. Earlier a signature campaign, as part of observance of vigilance week, was also held.
