SED launches Mega enrollment drive in Shopian

SHOPIAN, MARCH 07: A Mega Enrollment drive has been launched in District Shopian, kicking off from Government Higher Secondary School Narapora and High School Zampathri today.


Joint Director (EE) Kashmir, M Mushtaq, and Chief Education Officer Shopian, Bashir Ahmad, along with Cluster Heads, ZEOs led the initiative, resulting in hundreds of new enrollments in government schools across Narpora and Keller clusters.


During the event, Joint Director praised the Officers for their preparations and emphasized on the availability of qualified staff, infrastructure, and different schemes in government schools.


He also stressed on the need for student retention and attendance in the district’s upper belt, and advised the schools heads to take strenuous measures for enhancing enrollment and retention of students in the Schools.


The CEO Shopian highlighted the focus on accessible free quality education, teaching staff accountability, and achieving academic excellence. He thanked parents and participants, reaffirming the commitment of obtaining optimal results in government run schools.


As a token of appreciation, newly enrolled students received gifts from the officers during the course of the drive.
The enrollment drives will be held at different clusters in coming days in the District Shopian.
