Senior BJP leader Rana lauds PM Modi for Padma Awards transformative shift, hails J&K recipients

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Devender Singh Rana applauded the transformation of the Padma Awards under the leadership of Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Rana commended the recognition of the most deserving unsung heroes, emphasizing the significant changes brought about by the Prime Minister in the selection process.

In his tweet, Rana highlighted the remarkable achievements of two individuals from Jammu and Kashmir, Ramalo Ram and Ghulam Nabi Dar, who have been conferred with the prestigious Padma Awards in 2024. According to Rana, their recognition is a testament to the shift in the genre of Padma Awards towards acknowledging individuals who have made exceptional contributions but may not have received widespread acclaim.

The Padma Awards are one of the highest civilian awards in India and are conferred in three categories: Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Shri. The awards are given to individuals who have made exceptional contributions in their respective fields, including art, literature, science, sports, and social work.
