Senior NC leaders distribute several items at JRC Udheywala

JAMMU, September 07: To observe 41th death anniversary of Baba-e-Qaum, Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah,  the Central Zone J&K National Conference (JKNC) organized a programme at JRC Home for Handicapped, Udheywala wherein several items were distributed for the use of home inmates.

Former Minister and Zonal President JKNC, Babu Ram Paul was chief guest on the occasion whereas Ankush Abrol, Provincial Joint Secretary, JKNC was the guest of honour. The programme was organized by Dr. Vikas Sharma, Co-ordinator Jammu District (Urban) and Zonal Secretary JKNC.

The NC leaders handed over eatables, stationery items to the Home authorities for the use of Children. They also shared their time with the specially-abled children residing in the home.

Speaking on the occasion, Former Minister and President Central Zone JKNC Rampaul said that throughout his charismatic political career, Sher-e-Kashmir symbolized the aspirations of Jammu and Kashmir people as no single individual could have even dreamed of doing.

“The best tribute to Sher-e-Kashmir will be to strengthen amity among Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs. He said the slogan of ‘Hindu, Muslim, Sikh Itihaad’ preached and practiced by Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah is continuously reverberating the valleys, planes and mountains of the State.

He also said “National Conference is a party of the masses and always works as a frontal political party to help eradicate poverty and support needy persons.”

Ankush Abrol lauded the initiative of Dr Vikas for organizing such programs which motivates everyone to come forward and extend helping hand in meeting the requirements of specially-abled people. He also said, “It is our moral duty to come together for noble cause and maintained that his party cadre will continue to tread the path of humanity and humility.”

Also speaking, Dr Vikas Sharma said that these children are a gift of God and being a civilized society it is the duty of all of us to help them in all manners to make them self dependent. He said that their self dependency is the only option to live a dignified life.

B.D Dalotra, Zonal Secretary JKNC, delivered the welcome address while Satish Sharma Secretary JRC Home for Handicapped presented vote of thanks and extended gratitude for this great act of philanthropy towards the leaders of the National Conference.

Among those who were present on the occasion included, Satpal Shabotra, Sutjit Kumar, Dr Rajesh Singh, Hemraj, Ashok Koul, Ram Singh, Sanjeev, Deepak Kumar, and others.
