Sericulture Capacity Building Program Commences in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, FEBRUARY 26: The second five-day capacity building program for farmers in sericulture kicked off today at Panchayat Ghar Chanunta as part of the HADP project. The event was graced by Scientist C Incharge SSPC Udhampur as the chief guest. Vinod Kumar Gupta, Incharge Ghordi Udhampur, extended a warm welcome to all the participants.

 During the program, Sanjay Rometra delivered a lecture on mulberry cultivation, while Ravinder Kumar, Sericulture Assistant and member of the monitoring committee, imparted insights on General Sericulture.  Rajeev Gupta, District Sericulture Officer Udhampur briefed the participants about the agenda and expressed gratitude to the chief guest.

The program will feature resource persons from various faculties of the Central Silk Board, SKUAST and Sericulture Department delivering lectures on topics such as mulberry plantation, silkworm rearing, diseases and management of mulberry plantation, and silkworm rearing. Participants will receive certificates on the concluding day.
