Series of awareness activities held across Towns of Ramban district

RAMBAN, May 25:  As the part of ongoing ‘Meri Life Mera Swachh Shehar’ campaign, the Municipal Council Ramban, Municipal Committees of Batote and Banihal conducted a series of activities in the schools and wards of the towns.

The Municipal Council Ramban conducted awareness programmes in Government ITI Ramban where students and teachers participated in the campaign. 

The aim of the campaign is to conduct door to door waste collection drives.    ‘Meri Life, Mera Swachh Shehar’ is a concept to reduce the production of items that can be recycled and reused and thereby protect the environment.

During the fortnight Programme an extensive drive has been launched to collect plastic items, old books, used clothes and footwear from the households of Ramban town.

A swachhta pledge was also taken by the officers, officials, teachers besides a large number of students.
