Shah’s assertion on library carry significance: Prof Mohtra
JAMMU, October 19: Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s assertion that libraries should be built to connect with history, Nanaji Deshmukh library and E-library Incharge and BJP senior leader Prof. Kulbhushan Mohtra, said that the views of the former National President speak about the importance of libraries.
Prof. Kulbushan Mohtra said that in the present age of fast life with young generation more busy with social media need to be encouraged to get themselves acquainted with the history and the most authentic material for reading is available in libraries only.
The Union Home Minister is totally right when he says that libraries should be built to connect the youngsters with the history, language and culture of the country, said Prof. Mohtra, adding that the libraries have been serving many purposes under one roof for long times.
Prof. Kulbushan Mohtra said that the BJP understands the need and importance of setting up of libraries and Amit Shah’s assertions strengthen the party’s belief about a library.
He said that like other states, Jammu and Kashmir BJP too has set up a library dedicated to one of the most popular ideologue Nanaji Deshmukh.
He said that this library situated in the premises of BJP Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, has a large collection of books on varied subjects. Besides party leaders and activists, many students, scholars, books reading lovers visit the library daily and read books of their need. There are many such students who are preparing for competitive exams and spent time in this library for reading.
Prof. Kulbushan Mohtra expressed hope that more and more people will get benefited from the library.
He also recalled the old days of the times when J&K BJP set up library and also shared the photograph of the moments of the auspicious occasion of the inauguration of Nana ji Deshmukh library & E-library by Amit Shah, the then National President of the Party.
