Shahzadpur Murder Case: Samba Police apprehends 2 hardcore criminals

SAMBA, 8 January 2024: Samba Police have apprehended two more hardcore criminals from Jalandhar (Punjab) and Majalta (Udhampur) in an attempted murder case of Shahzadpur Ramgarh in which one local youth Pankaj was attacked and injured with sharp-edged weapons.

The apprehended accused have been identified as Amit Kumar code name “Sharabi” s/o Onkar Nath r/o Ward No. 1 Pakki Mandi, Samba and one more accused.

Earlier on 31.12.2023, police had arrested one hardened criminal identified as Radhey Sham alias Shamu s/o Som Dutt r/o Shehzadpur, Ramgarh. Thus, police have succeeded in apprehending three accused involved in a murderous attack on Pankaj.

On 19.12.2023, a group of miscreants carrying sharp-edged weapons attacked Pankaj at village Shahzadpur while he was playing volleyball and severely injured him. Police registered FIR u/s 307, 323, 148 IPC, 4/25 Arms Act at Police Station Ramgarh, and started investigation and raids to nab the accused. So far, three accused have been apprehended, and weapons of offence & vehicle Maruti ECO belonging to accused Shamu used in the commission of offence have also been seized by the police.

Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that police are conducting indepth investigations adopting a highly professional approach to crack all cases and apprehend all accused & their aiders, and abettors. As many as one hundred seventy (170) hardcore criminals have been arrested by Samba Police in the past eleven and half months and PSA is also being clamped.
