SHD Shopian establishes income generating sheep units under HADP & ISDS

SHOPIAN, AUGUST 09: The District Sheep Husbandry Organization Shopian today kick-started the establishment of income generating sheep units by establishing four income-generating units under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) and one unit under the Integrated Sheep Development Scheme (ISDS) in Community Development Blocks viz. Zainapora, Imamsahib and Keller of District Shopian.

The initiative commenced in the presence of the designated district level purchase committee. This effort aims to boost employment generation in the district.

Additionally, a demonstration camp was organized under State Extension Programme for Extension Reforms (ATMA) at Borihalan Hirpora during which proper drenching method, injection sites, hoof paring method, hoof hygiene, common diseases in sheep and their management and shed hygiene management were highlighted.
