Shilpa Shetty’s White Chocolate and Sesame Truffle Balls: A Delicious Twist on Traditional Til Gud Laddoos for Makar Sankranti
Makar Sankranti marks the end of winter and the beginning of longer days as the sun moves northward. It is celebrated across the country with colourful decorations, children singing and asking for treats in some areas, fairs, dances, kite flying, bonfires and feasts.
Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty Kundra loves cooking. She posted a video on her Instagram profile where her recipe for Makar Sankranti is a twist on the traditional Til Gud Laddoos, as it uses white chocolate, butter, and tahini in addition to sesame seeds. The recipe uses the double boiler method to melt the chocolate, and then forms it into truffle balls which are rolled in toasted sesame seeds for a crunchy texture. It’s a simple yet delicious recipe that combines the traditional flavor of sesame with the sweetness of white chocolate.
She captioned the post, “The yummy delicacies, colourful surroundings, positive vibes all around make #MakarSankranti a tad bit special for me. So, today’s recipe is White Chocolate and Sesame Seed Truffle… made by adding a twist to the Til Gud laddoos. These Truffles are as delicious as they can be, while they contain antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. It’s a simple 4-ingredient recipe and is super easy to make.”
