Shivansh Of KC Public School Wins Silver Medal In National School Games 2024

Jammu, November 18: Shivansh Sharma, a Class 8 student of KC Public School, represented the UT of J&K at the 68^th National School Games 2024 in the Fencing event held at Jammu University recently. He brought laurels for both the UT of J&K and KC Public School by winning a Silver Medal in the under 14 Boys Sabre Team event category.

Fencing is a combat sport that features sword fighting.  The three disciplines of modern fencing are the foil, the épée, and the sabre. Shivansh, having identified his natural inclination for sabre discipline of the sport early in his life has devoted himself to perfecting its skills in the last couple of years with unwavering support from his parents and school teachers. His achievement in this sport at the national level bodes well for his future aspirations and achievements in the game.
