Shivraj Singh Chauhan made fun of every farmer of the country: Congress MP Deepender Singh Hooda
New Delhi [India], July 30 (ANI): Congress Lok Sabha MP Deepender Singh Hooda said that Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare Shivraj Singh Chauhan had made fun of every farmer in the country when asked about helping the families of 750 farmers who lost their lives in the Kisan Andolan in Lok Sabha on Tuesday.
“Today when we raised the question about helping those families and providing employment to those families, the way Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan made fun of us, he did not only make fun of these 750 farmers; he also made fun of every farmer of the country, every Indian in the middle of the Lok Sabha,” he said.
Speaking in Lok Sabha today, Hooda raised the question of helping the families of 750 farmers who lost their lives in Kisan Andolan, as they are the sole earners in many families, and also asked for providing employment to those families.
He further said that the government had crossed all limits of insensitivity and that no attention had been paid to these farmers.
“In the Lok Sabha, we raised the question of helping the families of 750 farmers who lost their lives in the Kisan Andolan. These were such families where they had only one earning member; in many families, that person has passed away. The government crossed all limits of insensitivity and no attention was paid to these farmers,” Hooda said.
Hooda further condemned this and said that they wouldn’t let farmers become the laughing stock of the government.
“We condemn this. We will not let the farmers become a laughing stock of the government in this manner,” he said.
