SKC Govt Degree College organises series of activities under ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’
POONCH, August 10: NSS Unit of Shri Krishan Chander Government Degree College Poonch organized a series of activities in connection with weeklong celebrations under the aegis of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The events are being held under the supervision of Dr. Jasbir Singh, Principal of the college.
On August 05, the NSS and NCC units of the college organized the Panch Pran Pledge to highlight the five resolutions of Prime Minister Narinder Modi.
All the teaching and non teaching staff, students, NSS Volunteers, NCC Cadets, participated in the pledge ceremony. Anamika Bali read out the pledge.
An Essay writing Competition on the topic “Role of Freedom Fighters in India’s Independence” was held on August 09 with participation of 12 students of Semester 5th. Anjum Firdose fetched 1st Prize and Shreeya Sharma bagged 2nd Prize. The 3rd Prize was shared by Nazneen Saqib and Shazia Koser.
A National Anthem Singing Competition was also organized in the college auditorium in which 8 participants of different streams and semesters participated. The session was presided over by the Principal of our college, Dr. Jasbir Singh. The performance of the participants was evaluated by Dr. Zakir Hussain Kalis, Dr. Loveleen Kaur Kesar and Mukesh Kumar.
Sumaira Naz and Shahid of 5th Semester shared 1st position, Shazia Kouser got 2nd position and Abru Aziz got 3rd position in the National Anthem Singing Competition.
