Skill development training programmes organised at ITI Ramban, Banihal

RAMBAN, MARCH 28: Assistant Director Employment & Counselling Centre, Dr Shushant Mahajan inaugurated a Skill Development Training programme at the Government Industrial Training Institute Ramban today. Various departments and private companies set up stalls for the placement of eligible aspirants.

During his speech, Dr Mahajan encouraged unemployed youth to take an interest in self-employment and entrepreneurship to generate livelihoods for themselves and others. The government is committed to supporting them under the Mission Youth Programme, he said.

A two-day skill training course for youths registered with Youth Clubs under Mission Youth also began at the Government Industrial Training Institute, Banihal. The training was started by the Superintendent of ITI Banihal, who interacted with local youth and gave a presentation on various skill development schemes and courses run by the department. Trainees undergoing training also participated in the session, during which emphasis was placed on registering youth for various schemes under Mission Youth.

The Superintendent ITI Banihal urged youth to come forward for skill training under various departmental schemes and participate in placements and job fairs organised by designated placement cells.
