SMVDU Dance Club Scripts History at VIVACITY ’25, Bags Multiple Titles at LNMIIT Jaipur

REASI, February 22: The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) Dance club of Board of cultural activities delivered a stellar performance at VIVACITY ’25, LNMIIT Jaipur’s cultural fest, securing four podium finishes across different categories and defeating 13 different universities from 7 different states across INDIA. Under the leadership of Achint Raj (Dance Club Coordinator, Board of Cultural Activities, SMVDU) and faculty coordinator Dr. Rakesh Thusooand Dr. Rahul Sharma (President and vice president, Board of Cultural Activities, SMVDU), the team impressed audiences with their electrifying performances.

Achievements: 1st Runner-up (Group Folk + Classical Dance category) – Coached by Achint Raj, the team showcased Bhaderwai and Dogri folk, featuring Shriya Sharma, Drishti Mahajan, Vaidehi, Aru Sharma, Charu Sharma, Kamakshi Gupta, Avineet Isher, Deepika Sharma, Bhavya Sharma, Shambhavi Sharma, Pounami Das, and Sneha Sambyal.1st Runner-up (Solo Western Dance) – Vardhan Sharma delivered a powerful performance. 2nd Runner-up (Duet Classical Dance) – Akhya Agrawal & Nikhil captivated with their graceful act. 1st Position (Contrast Art Competition) – Kritika Sangotra secured the top spot.

The team also won a cash prize, to be transferred later, marking their dedication and excellence. Their remarkable success at VIVACITY ’25 solidifies SMVDU’s reputation as a force to be reckoned with in university dance competitions at national level.
