SMVDU hosted educational visit of Govt School Kah Pohta, Dansal

SMVDU Katra hosted the visit of students from Govt. Higher Sec. School, Kah Pohta,
Dansal under an outreach activity program. The visit was organized to enhance
knowledge/awareness among students about higher educational institutions under the
PM Shri Scheme.

NSS volunteers of the University accompanied the school team during
the visit. NSS Coordinator, Dr. Rajiv Kumar welcomed the school officials and students
and gave a brief introduction to the University. Students were motivated to join higher
educational institutes after completing their class 12th. During the event, the school
team visited the Computer labs, central workshop, central Library, 3D printer lab,
auditorium, etc. More than 100 students along with their teachers and principal
participated in the visit. 

The Principal of the school thanked University authorities for
hosting the visit. Dean of Student Welfare, Prof. R. K. Mishra, and NCC officer, Dr. Varun
Dutta were also present during the visit. Vice Chancellor, Prof. Pragati Kumar
appreciated the efforts of NSS volunteers in organizing the visit.
