SMVDU Postpones the 10th Convocation due to the Demise of Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh 

Katra, December 27, 2024: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) deeply mourns the passing away of former Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh Ji. Dr. Singh’s remarkable contributions to India’s economic and political landscape, along with his unparalleled vision for inclusive growth, will always be remembered.

As a mark of respect to the departed leader, the 10 th Convocation of the University, scheduled for today 27.12.2024, has been postponed. The University expresses its heartfelt condolences to Dr. Singh’s family, friends, and the entire nation during this moment of profound loss. The new date for the 10th Convocation will be announced in due course.
