Sonam Kapoor’s Iconic Wedding Lehenga Takes the Spotlight at Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre

The NMACC is India’s first multi-art center that was launched by the Ambani family on March 31, 2023. It is housed within the Jio World Centre in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex and has dedicated spaces for various performing arts, displays of Indian culture, and traditions. As a part of the display, Sonam Kapoor’s wedding dress was also put on display, which has become the talk of the town.

For her wedding day, Sonam Kapoor wore a bespoke red-hued lehenga designed by Anuradha Vakil. The lehenga choli was handwoven in Maheshwar, Madhya Pradesh, using a special gold and silk yarn. The embroidery on it was created using the kalabattu technique with real gold and silver threads, which made the dress even more precious. It took almost six months to complete the dress, and the price of the ensemble was around Rs. 70-90 lakhs.

The lehenga choli had a traditional and regal look to it, with intricate and detailed embroidery. It was complemented with a beautiful traditional veil with lotus motifs. The entire ensemble was a dreamy and elegant outfit, worthy of becoming an heirloom treasure.

Sonam Kapoor accessorized her wedding ensemble with stunning Rajputana jewelry. Her accessories included an aad necklace layered with a guttapusalu neckpiece, matching earrings, and a multi-stranded matha patti. She also opted for diamond kadas, huge kaleeras, and chooda. The jewellery complemented her outfit perfectly and added a touch of elegance and royalty to her entire look.

However, Sonam Kapoor’s wedding dress displayed at the NMACC is a sight to behold. The intricacy and beauty of the ensemble are breathtaking, and it is no surprise that it has become a topic of discussion amongst the fashion and Bollywood fraternity.
