Sonia Gandhi sends congratulatory message to Ambani couple on behalf of Gandhi family
New Delhi [India], July 12 (ANI): Ahead of the grand wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sonia Gandhi sent a written congratulatory message to the Ambani couple on behalf of the Gandhi family, said sources.
Earlier, on July 4, sources had reported that business tycoon Mukesh Ambani himself came to 10 Janpath to give an invitation to the Gandhi family to attend his son’s wedding.
However, no one from the Gandhi family attended the wedding ceremony. Also, there is no restriction on any Congress member from attending the wedding ceremony, said sources.
Meanwhile, various political party leaders including SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav, TMC President Mamata Banerjee, BJP leader Smriti Irani and RJD Supremo have reached Mumbai to attend the wedding ceremony of the Ambani couple.
The wedding ceremony of Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant is held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai.
