Mumtaz Ahmed Khan demands early assembly elections in J&K
REASI, DECEMBER 29: Apni Party Vice President, and Former Minister, Aijaz Ahmed Khan today appealed to the Govt to ensure proper ration in the respective depots of Narkote, Dhakikote, Parankote and adjoining areas in Jij Bagli block during a public meeting at Narkote (Ladha).
Addressing the public meeting, Aijaz Ahmed Khan said that the remote areas in Jij Bagli block have been suffering from poor pace of developmental activities.
“The educational and health facilities are in the worst condition and the authorities seem unmoved to upgrade the required staff and equipment,” he said.
He demanded installation of electricity meters in Dhakikote and supply of unscheduled electricity in Narkote, Dhakikote, Parankote and other areas.
He demanded strengthening of the rural economy with the initiation of steps for promotion of unexplored areas and tribal cluster villages in Jij Bagli Block.
He also demanded complete construction of a road from Panassa to Parankote in a speedy manner as the work is very slow and connects Narkote, Dhakikote and Parankote villages.
Meanwhile, Former MLA, and senior leader of Apni Party, Mumtaz Ahmed Khan also addressed the public meetings and demanded proper school building infrastructures besides highlighting the party’s policy and agenda. He said that the Apni Party is aimed at the welfare of the people and the general and equitable development of all the regions without discrimination.
He said that the party will implement its social security scheme with the supply of four cooking gas cylinders under Ujjawala scheme every year to each family, enhancement of widow pension scheme up to Rs 5000, 500 units of free electricity in Jammu region during summers and during winter season, 300 units of free electricity in the said region.
He said that the party is committed to ensure employment to the local youth in the industrial sector, protection of natural resources, and protection to the rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that they will not tolerate the non-local influence to grab the resources from the locals as it has increased the unemployment among the people.
“The people who were dependent upon the mining have been handed over to the non-locals and they are dominating the sector which needs revamp and rethinking to protect the rights of the local population,” he said.
Quoting the assurance of the party president, Syed Mohamemd Altaf Bukhari, he said that the party will end the discrimination and will ensure peace and brotherhood in the society. “We will work to end the people and Govt. For this, the holding of assembly elections are must as well as to restore the statehood of J&K,” he said.
He said that the elected Govt is answerable to the people but the LG administration is not. Therefore, he said that the holding of assembly elections is must and it should be held as early as possible.
