SRS appeals for free Air Evacuation of Tourists from Kashmir following Pahalgam Terror Attack

JAMMU, Apr 24: In response to the recent horrific terror attack in Pahalgam, Rajiv Mahajan, President of Shri Ram Sena (SRS), J&K UT, has urgently appealed to the Government of India and the Jammu & Kashmir UT Administration to immediately arrange free air evacuation services for tourists currently in the Kashmir Valley.

Mahajan expressed deep concern over the safety and mental well-being of tourists, many of whom are reportedly traumatized and eager to return home. He strongly condemned the exorbitant airfare hikes by private airlines, calling it “economic exploitation of fear and grief.”

Free or heavily subsidized flights for tourists, to be arranged via the Indian Air Force or government-supported civil charters.

Strict action against private airlines engaging in price gouging during such national emergencies.

Establishment of a dedicated helpline to assist and coordinate the evacuation of stranded tourists from Kashmir.

Emphasizing the Indian ethos of “Atithi Devo Bhava” (Guests are like Gods), Mahajan called for compassion and swift government intervention to ensure the safety and dignity of both domestic and international tourists.
