State level ‘India Skills Competitions’ held at Institute of Hotel Management
SRINAGAR, MARCH 11: The J&K Skill Development Mission, in collaboration with Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), GoI and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) today held State Level Competition of Cooking skill at Institute of Hotel Management.
The candidates from J&K participated in the state level competition, which will lead to being selected to participate in Pre-National competitions and National level competitions and finally the winner will participate in World Skills Competitions scheduled in Lyon, France later this year.
Such initiatives are necessary for the youth to showcase their skills for exploring better employment opportunities in the advanced relevant fields, said Chef Yasin who was as Jury for competition.
Dr. Safiq ur Rehman, another Jury Member said that our skilled youth must make maximum use of such opportunities.
JKSDM will continue to organize such initiatives and give opportunities to youth of J&K. State Level Competitions in 18 skill sets are being conducted at various venues across the UT wherein more than 250 candidates will compete to represent J&K in Pre National and National Level Competitions, Leena Padha, Mission Director, JKSDM said.
