STD Jammu organises interactive session on GST for start ups, entrepreneurs under ‘Meri Matti Mera Desh’ campaign
JAMMU, August 11: State Taxes Department (STD) Jammu today organized an interactive session on GST for start ups and entrepreneurs as part of ongoing celebrations of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav on the theme “Meri Matti Mera Desh” with focus on growth and development.
During the session, Additional Commissioner, State Taxes Jammu, Namrita Dogra shared about the achievements and best practices of the department and congratulated the business fraternity for the growth of revenue.
Start ups empanelled with IIT & IIM Jammu, JKEDI, Cluster University, FICCI FLO and others joined the session in which they were given hands on knowledge on GST followed by an interactive session whereby their queries and concerns were addressed. Several suggestions which came from representatives of FICCI FLO, IIM Jammu were acknowledged during the session.
The participants the session and requested the department to come forward with such awareness initiatives in future too. The main purpose of session was to create awareness on GST as a part of KARTAVYA campaign and also hand holding of start-ups which are promising and successful business establishments of tomorrow.
During the session representatives of IIT & IIM Jammu, FICCI FLO, Cluster University and NGO were felicitated.
