Students’ welfare Committee GCW Udhampur organizes fare well party for final semester students
UDHAMPUR, MAY 24: Students’ Welfare Committee of Government College for Women Udhampur today organized a farewell party to bid goodbye to the outgoing class of the college. The event was held under the able guidance of the Principal of the college Prof. Anjali Mahajan and the convenership of Prof Sumita Rao.
The party was arranged by the juniors for their seniors featuring games, dance and musical events. The day was a fiesta devoted to the years spent together with friends and teachers, to reminisce joyous moments.
The eye catching moments were the dance performances of the students. The event started with the lighting of the lamp by the Principal of the college, senior faculty members.
The Principal of the college, Prof Anjali Mahajan showered her blessings upon the students for their upcoming exams and also assured them that they will get the support of the college even after they have left
The highlight of the event was GCW contest in which students showcased their singing talent, walked the ramp and answered the questions posed by jury members. The jury comprised of Prof Ashni Devi (HOD Botany), Prof Tania Akhter (HOD English) and Prof Shallu Jasrotia (Assistant Prof Music).
Vishakha Gandotra was judged as Personality, Charu as Multitalented, Eknoor as Farewell, Sehar Shakeel as most Favourite senior , Sanjana Thakur as most helping senior. Besides, Ananya Jamwal clinched the title of GCW Udhampur.
In the end light refreshment was also served to the outgoing class by their juniors.
