“Successful District Level Science Exhibition Celebrates Innovation Under Rashtriya Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani -2024”

Leh, September 19, 2024: The District Institute of Education & Training (DIET) Leh, hosted a successful district level Science Exhibition in senior (9-12 class) category and junior (6-8 class) category on 18th September 2024. The event held under the auspices of the Rashtriya Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani – 2024 and showcased the remarkable creativity and scientific prowess of students from government schools in the region.

The exhibition featured innovative projects that addressed critical themes such as Lifestyle for Environment, Sustainable Agriculture, Computational Thinking, Communication and Transportation and Health. Students engaged visitors with interactive displays, demonstrating their understanding of scientific principles through practical applications.

Hon’ble Deputy Chairman LAHDC, Leh Sh. Tsering Angchuk graced the occasion as a Chief Guest. During the programme, he said that, it is heartening to see the students so passionately engaged in scientific inquiry. He added that such initiative is pivotal in fostering a culture of innovation and critical thinking. He also added that he is thrilled to see the overwhelming response to the exhibition.

Geo-thermal scientist Dr. Kunzes Dolma, Prof. cum Chief Scientist Dr. Jigmet Yangchen and Chief Education Officer Sonam Angchuk delivered insightful talks, encouraging students to pursue their passion for science and innovation.

Principal DIET Leh Deldan Angmo extended her heartfelt gratitude to Hon’ble Dy. Chairman LAHDC Leh, CEO Leh, educators, judges and all participants who contributed to the success of the event. She quoted that together we are nurturing the next generation of innovators who will shape a brighter future.

The exhibition culminated in a prize distribution ceremony, where outstanding projects were recognized and qualified for state level exhibition followed by vote of thanks from HOD DIET Leh Tsering Yangdol.
