Sunil Prajapati highlights welfare schemes launched by the Modi Govt for OBCs

Mahan Singh (DDC Chairman) on this occasion highlighted the dedicated efforts of Modi Government for ensuring Justice and welfare of people of J&K UT by undertaking various projects under Kaushal Vikas yojana and constructed various of Roads including Highways, overhead bridges, development of Railway Stations and railway tracks in the UT as well as launching of various welfare schemes for the People of J&K including Ayushman Bharat, Arogya Yojna, and Kishan Samman Nidi Yojna. He also emphasized the welfare schemes for specially for the women such as; Jan Dhan Yojana, Beti Bachao and Beti Padhao, Ladli Beti, Ujjwala Yojana as examples of initiatives aimed at empowering the women across the Nation. The Sammelan was attended by a large number of people including the women and West Pakistani Refugees (WPRs) from the adjoining Areas.
Sunil Prajapati on the occasion said that it is the duty of every party worker to disseminate every information of the Government’s welfare schemes to ensure that it reaches every individual of the Society. He also highlighted the dedicated efforts of the Modi Government towards the development of Jammu and Kashmir following the revocation of Article 370. He also expressed that it is only the Modi Govt who has granted the domicile right to West Pakistani Refugees (WPRs) after seven decades of their settling in J&K, who were migrated during partition of India during 1947 and settled in the adjoining areas of International Border, mostly in the Border District Jammu. He accused that the previous Govts led by NC-Congress never considered them as resident of J&K and denied all constitutional rights including residentship, proper education, right to own immoveable property and even the voting right for State elections.
He also said that the previous governments led by NC-Congress and PDP, have exploiting the sentiments and future prospectus of the people of J&K mostly the Other Backward Classes (OBC), who were denied the very constitutional right to reservation to the OBCs under the guise of Article 370 and 35A. He stressed that the communal differences were deepened during the NC-Congress era in comparison to the Modi Government’s to foster the unity among people of the different religious backgrounds in both the region of the J&K UT. He expressed that it the Modi Govt who granted the reservation to OBC category for the first time after passing the J&K Reservation (Amendment) Bill 2023. He added that the Modi Govt has also extended reservation for OBCs in the elections of Panchayats and the Municipalities.
He also extended gratitude to the Hon’ble Prime Minister and the Union Govt, for this great cause for implementing OBC reservation in J&K UT and extending reservation in elections of Panchayats and the Municipalities. He expressed that the Modi Govt has provided the constitutional rights to OBCs at par with other States under the spirit of Sab Ka Saath, Sab ka Viswas and Sab ka Vikas.
