SVEEP activities conducted in Keegam to promote voter awareness

SHOPIAN, SEPTEMBER 03: In a significant step towards promoting voter awareness and participation, a series of Nukkad Nataks and dramas were organized today under the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme in the Keegam Education Zone of district Shopian.


The events took place in two Higher Secondary Schools and eight High Schools within the zone.


The primary objective of these activities was to inspire and motivate the voters in the respective areas to exercise their right to vote in the upcoming elections.


The performances were meticulously crafted to convey the importance of each vote in the democratic process, with themes focusing on the power of a single vote, the impact of voter apathy, and the role of youth in shaping the nation’s future.


Students from classes 7th to 12th actively participated in these events, receiving special training aimed at enabling them to effectively engage with and convince the voters in their communities about the significance of their participation in the electoral process.
