SVEEP Awareness Camp engages Women voters in remote Panchayat Chaloge
KATHUA, SEPTEMBER 18: To promote voter awareness among women, a comprehensive Women Awareness Camp was organized today in Panchayat Chaloge Block Dugan, Bani under the aegis of Systematic Voter Education and Electoral Participation campaign. The camp, which aimed to educate Anganwadi workers and local women about the importance of voting, was jointly led by AC Nodal Officer Ravinder Kour (Women Awareness) and AC Nodal Officer Aditya Krishna Dogra (Postal Ballot and Home Voting).
The camp highlighted different aspects of electoral participation, particularly emphasizing the significance of women exercising their right to vote. The session focused on the voting process, the importance of every single vote in shaping the future of the region, and the available methods of voting, including postal ballots and home voting, to ensure wider participation.
Nodal Officer Ravinder Kour emphasized the role of women in strengthening democracy, while Nodal Officer Aditya Krishna Dogra provided detailed insights on the procedures for postal ballots and home voting, particularly designed for individuals with mobility issues, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities.
The camp witnessed active participation from Anganwadi workers and local women, who engaged in discussions about their voting rights and responsibilities. Participants also expressed their enthusiasm to contribute to the upcoming elections by encouraging other women in the community to cast their votes.
This initiative is part of an ongoing series of awareness programs aimed at increasing voter turnout and empowering women in the electoral process in Bani.
