SVEEP Campaign held in different parts of District Kishtwar
KISHTWAR, SEPTEMBER 7: To enhance voter awareness and encourage maximum participation in the upcoming General Assembly Elections 2024, massive electoral awareness programs were held today in the Sarthal and Marwah areas of district Kishtwar under the aegis of Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) campaign.
In the Sarthal area, an Electoral Awareness program coincided with the Mega Traditional Dangal/Kud, where the locals from adjacent areas thronged the venue to witness the said Festive event.
The SVEEP campaign was led by Nodal Officer SVEEP 49-Kishtwar Assembly Constituency, Masood Qazi and his team members. The Nodal Officer highlighted the significance of voting and encouraged the local population to ensure a high turnout in the forthcoming elections.
A voting pledge was also administered to the participants, reaffirming their commitment to exercising their right to vote.
To further emphasize the importance of ethical voting, drum beating to spread the SVEEP message was incorporated into the event, symbolizing the community’s unity in promoting voter participation.
In another event, a SVEEP Seminar was organized at Higher Secondary School (HSS) Marwah.
The event focused on educating students and staff about the importance of voting and encouraging active electoral participation. Officials emphasized the significance of informed voting and highlighted the role of youth in strengthening democracy. The seminar was part of ongoing efforts under the SVEEP initiative to ensure greater voter turnout, particularly in remote areas like Marwah.
