SVEEP: Mega Plantation Drive Held at Girls High School Kaloosa, Bandipora

BANDIPORA, SEPTEMBER 14: In a significant green initiative, the SVEEP cell Bandipora, in collaboration with the Social Forestry Department Bandipora, today organized a mega plantation drive at Girls High School Kaloosa.


The plantation drive was aimed to create general awareness among the voters for larger participation besides generating awareness among future voters and promote environmental sustainability.


General observer for 14- Sonawari and 15 – Bandipora Nelson Eyon Bage, General Observer for 16- Gurez Ramniwas Yadav, Police Observer Adarsh Sidhu and DEO Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, participated in the plantation drive by planting saplings in the school premises.


Speaking on the occasion, DEO Manzoor Ahmad Qadri commended the efforts of the SVEEP cell Bandipora for their commitment to raise voter awareness through extensive programmes.


He emphasised the dual objective of the initiative, to foster greater voter participation and to enhance environmental awareness among the public.


It was informed that as part of the drive, 100 saplings will be planted at each Green polling station and 10 saplings at all other polling stations.


DEO said that this initiative is designed to engage voters actively and contribute to the green cover of the area besides generating awareness about the importance of voting.


CEO/ Nodal Officer SVEEP Kishore Kumar, DyCEO, officers and officials of Social Forestry Department Bandipora, and other concerned were also present on the occasion.
