SVEEP: Nari Shakti Choupal held at Village Organisation Centre Panthal
REASI, SEPTEMBER 14: “Nari Shakti Choupal” was held today at Village Organisation Centre, Panthal as part of the “Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation” (SVEEP) initiative. The aim was to reach out to the voters to maximize voter turnout in the upcoming Assembly Elections 2024.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local masses including women of Self Help Groups, Anganwadi workers and ASHA workers.
The SVEEP team, led by Nodal Officer Sachin Sharma, provided comprehensive insights into the electoral process, encouraging all people to participate in the democratic process and cast their votes on 25 September 2024.
The SVEEP Team informed them about the measures taken by District Administration to make voting accessible for women, availability of home voting for senior citizens aged 85 yrs and above, ensuring inclusivity in the voting process.
Additionally, detailed information was also provided regarding the Saksham-ECI app, which features a range of accessibility options to assist in voter registration, locating polling stations, and casting votes.
The program culminated with a pledge to actively promote voter participation within their communities, aiming for a higher voter turnout in the upcoming elections.
Local Women, First time girl voters, AWW’s and Officials of the Social Welfare Department were present.
