SVEEP: Poster making, slogan writing competition held at GDC Marheen

KATHUA, April 19: The Voter Literacy Club of Government Degree College Marheen, in collaboration with IQAC cell and NSS Unit, organized a poster making and slogan writing competition under the aegis of Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP). The programme was organized under the patronage of the Principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Anupama Gupta, while it was supervised by Convener, Voter Literacy Club   Pardeep, and NSS PO Dr. Sonika Jasrotia.

The other faculty members present in the programme were Prof. Deepak Gupta, Dr. Munisha Devi, Prof Eva Sharma and Nisha Tak.

The Principal of the college, in her address, appreciated the participating students for taking keen interest in such activities. She said students must be aware of their Right to franchise which is a potent tool in democracy besides knowing their fundamental rights and duties enshrined in the Constitution of India.

The students were informed that an exercise of Special Summary Revision-2023 is being carried out from 05 April to 20 April 2023 across Jammu and Kashmir and all eligible must approach their respective BLOs to get registered or update their credentials in Electoral Rolls.
