SVEEP program held at GHSS Boys Bhaderwah
DODA, APRIL 01: A Voters’ Awareness programme under the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) initiative was today organized at Government Higher Secondary School Boys Bhaderwah here.
The awareness programme was aimed to raise awareness about the voting-related activities and promote electoral literacy among citizens, especially first-time voters in run up to the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024.
Meanwhile, a pledge taking ceremony under SVEEP was also held. District Election Authority in Doda has initiated an extensive SVEEP Campaign Ahead of Lok Sabha Elections.
The SVEEP programmes were organized under the able guidance of District Election Officer Doda, Harvinder Singh in various government schools in the district.
The SVEEP activities witnessed active participation from citizens of all age groups and backgrounds.
The program also utilized digital platforms and social media channels to reach out to tech-savvy voters, ensuring comprehensive coverage and engagement across all segments of society. Additionally, interactive sessions and workshops were conducted in educational institutions to educate students about the importance of electoral participation and civic responsibility.
Through initiatives like SVEEP, the administration endeavours to strengthen the foundation of democracy by fostering a culture of active citizenship and voter engagement.
