SVEEP program held at Leh
Leh, April 27, 2024: In an initiative under the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) program, students from the University of Ladakh performed a Nukad Natak at Main Market Leh to raise awareness about the importance of voting today on April 27.
The Nukad Natak aimed to educate the general public about the significance of exercising their voting rights through an engaging skit.
At the end, a musical concert by Luyangs Band and Nukad Natak was performed at ECO Park, Leh where Chief Electoral Officer Yatendra Maralkar was chief guest on the occasion.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Leh, Ghulam Mohd; SVEEP State Icon, Phuntsog Ladakhi; SVEEP District Icon Tsewang Dorjai (PWDs icon) and District Icon Stanzin Dorjai and all religious Association Heads were also present on the occasion.
Alongside SVEEP Team, Leh, led by SVEEP Nodal Officer Tajamul Ara (Dy. Director NYK), actively engaged with the general public, providing valuable insights and information regarding facilities available for the specially abled persons and for senior citizens above 85 years of age.
