SVEEP Programme conducted in AC-Pulwama to enhance Voter Education

PULWAMA, SEPTEMBER 10: As part of a sustained effort to enhance electoral awareness and encourage informed participation, a Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme was successfully conducted today at Government Higher Secondary School Gangoo, in Assembly Constituency 34-Pulwama.

The event was jointly organized by the Department of School Education and the Rural Development Department, with the objective of educating the general public and students about the electoral process ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections.

The programme sought to engage participants by promoting the importance of voting and responsible civic engagement. Experts emphasized the significance of an informed electorate in ensuring fair and transparent elections, while discussions focused on educating first-time voters and addressing common questions about the voting process.

The event was further enriched by students’ speeches, which added an inspiring and youthful perspective to the proceedings. The students passionately conveyed the importance of electoral participation, highlighting the role of young voters in shaping the future of democracy. Their speeches resonated with the audience, reinforcing the message that every vote counts.

Similarly, the Chand Tara Cluster Level Federation (CLF) Tumlahal conducted a programme aimed at boosting voter engagement and ensuring broad-based participation in the upcoming elections. The event focused on raising awareness about the electoral process and encouraging community involvement.

During the programme, members of the Chand Tara CLF took a pledge to support democratic principles and maintain the integrity of elections, committing to participate in the electoral process.

This SVEEP initiative reflects the broader mission of the Election Commission of India to build a well-informed and active electorate, particularly as the Assembly elections approach.

Such programmes continue to play a vital role in promoting voter awareness and ensuring the participation of every eligible citizen.
