SVEEP Rally organised at Kishtwar
KISHTWAR, AUGUST 23: Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) rally was organized today here on the directions of District Election Officer Kishtwar, Rajesh Kumar Shavan.
The rally was conducted under the close supervision of Masood Ahmed Qazi, Nodal Officer SVEEP Campaign for Assembly Constituency 49-Kishtwar. The rally commenced from the DC Office Complex and flagged off by Returning Officer Kishtwar, Pawan Kotwal, in the presence of Returning Officer 48-Inderwal, Idrees Lone, RO 50-Nagseni Paddar Dr Amit Kumar, CEO Javeed Ahmed Kichloo, SVEEP Consultant /Master Trainers Training Riyaz Ahmed Butt, Nodal Officer SVEEP 50 Nagseni Paddar Assembly Constituencies Riaz Haq and others.
The rally witnessed the participation of 400 students from Higher Secondary Schools, ABN Government High School and Government Degree College (GDC).
It traversed through Wasser Village, Kokila Chowk and the main market, culminating at Shaheedi Mazar near Malik Market.
A vehicle equipped with an audio system played slogans and messages, while students carried placards promoting the Right to Vote. The rally aimed to spread awareness about the importance of voting rights and ethical voting among the public along its route.
Speaking on the occasion, the RO 49-Kishtwar emphasized the critical role of the right to vote and lauded the students as ambassadors for electoral awareness. He urged the public to exercise their voting rights responsibly in the upcoming election on 18 September 2024 in the district.
Nodal officer SVEEP 49-Kishtwar also spoke on the occasion.
The role of Ghulam Mohd Kripak (Teacher HSS Keshwan) remained pivotal for logistics arrangements. Besides Rajesh Kumar (Master),Shabir Ahmed (Master), Neeraj Kumar (teacher) among others remained present in the rally.
