SVEEP Team Ladakh conducts SVEEP voter awareness program at Chushul

Leh, May 6, 2024: The SVEEP Team Ladakh continued its efforts in promoting voter awareness by organizing a SVEEP Voter Awareness Program in Chushul in eastern Ladakh on May 5.

Naib Tehsildar, Tashi Stanzin and the residents of Chushul greeted the SVEEP Team upon their arrival. Students from Chushul High School captivated the audience with a street play (Nukkad Natak) and cultural performances to raise awareness among the voters.

State SVEEP Icon, Phunchok Ladakhi, emphasized the important role of voting in upholding the democratic process. He also performed the recently released election theme song by the CEO Ladakh, highlighting the significance of civic participation through voting.

District SVEEP Icon, Stanzin Dorjay Gya, highlighted the importance of voting in a democracy, emphasizing its value as enshrined in the constitution of India. He urged participants to recognize the power of their voting rights and its impact on shaping the future of the nation.

He further urged the general public, including voters residing outside the villages, to return to their villages and exercise their vote on May 20to ensure 100 percent voter turnout.

SVEEP State Nodal Officer, Dr. Tsewang Morup, presented a SVEEP t-shirt on behalf of CEO Ladakh to Skarma Tsering, recognized as the best BLO in UT Ladakh.

Naib Tehsildar, Tashi Stanzin, extended the vote of thanks, emphasising the importance of achieving maximum voter turnout in the upcoming Lok Sabha-2024 elections. As part of the awareness program, SVEEP t-shirts were distributed to dignitaries and participants.

Additionally, SVEEP caps were handed out to students of Chushul High School for their active involvement in the awareness campaign.
