SVEEP: Vibrant Voter Awareness program held at Pattan

BARAMULLA, AUGUST 31: In view of the Assembly Elections in Jammu and Kashmir, a comprehensive voter awareness program was held in Pattan today under SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) aimed to educate and engage the electorate, about the importance of voting and the electoral process.


The SVEEP programme was organized under the overall guidance of Returning Officer for 13-Pattan, Gulzar Ahmad Rather, who also participated in the event.
The event commenced with a vibrant new-voter rally in which hundreds of first-time voters participated, marching through various localities of the town, effectively spreading the message of voter awareness.


Throughout the course of the SVEEP program, various engaging cultural activities were held to inspire and educate the public about the democratic process.
Students from different schools enthusiastically participated in the activities, like folk dance, Kashmiri rouf, art competition, showcasing their talent and creativity while learning about the importance of voting and democratic processes.


Speakers, on the occasion, urged the voters, especially the first-time voters, to enthusiastically participate in the upcoming Assembly Elections and contribute towards strengthening the democracy.
