SVEEP: Vibrant Voter Awareness Rally held at Dangiwacha Rafiabad
BARAMULLA, SEPTEMBER 04: A vibrant voter awareness rally was today organized in Dangiwacha, Rafiabad, as part of the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) initiative, ahead of the General Assembly Elections-2024.
The rally organized under the supervision of Returning Officer for 08-Rafiabad Assembly Constituency, Shabir Ahmad Hakak witnessed participation of hundreds of new voters, local residents, and officials.
The rally was organized to raise awareness about the importance of voting, particularly among first-time voters, and to promote maximum voter turnout in the upcoming elections. Participants marched through the streets of Dangiwacha, carrying banners and placards with messages emphasizing the significance of each vote in strengthening democracy.
Hakak, speaking at the event, underscored the importance of such voter awareness campaigns in promoting a fair and informed electoral process. He urged all eligible citizens to actively participate in the elections and exercise their democratic rights.
The rally is part of a broader SVEEP campaign that includes educational programs and interactive sessions aimed at making the voting process easier for the public. Officials at the rally also provided information on the use of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verified Paper Audit Trails (VVPATs) to ensure voters are well-prepared for Election Day.
The event concluded with participants expressing their commitment to taking part in the democratic process by casting their votes in the upcoming elections.
