Swachhata Karwaan creates sanitation Awareness in Assar, Doda

DODA, May 12: The Swachhata Karwaan program, titled “Ek Qadam Saffai Ke Aur,” was successfully held at the Block Development Office (BDO) in Assar to raise awareness about cleanliness in the surrounding environment. 

The program was organized under the guidance of the Directorate of Rural Sanitation in Jammu and Kashmir and witnessed a large gathering of officers, officials, and students from local schools. 

The participants highlighted the importance of cleanliness through speeches, Swachhata pledge, and slogans. To encourage students’ abilities and promote their thoughts on environmental cleanliness, painting and quiz competitions were also organized.

 Additionally, a Swachhata March was conducted by students who carried banners displaying Swachh Bharat Mission Grameen and Swachhata Karwaan, aiming to raise awareness among the people. The program witnessed the presence of Sub Division Magistrate (SDM) ASSAR Lekh Raj, who flagged off a decorated vehicle along with the Tehseldar Assar.
