Swachhata Pakhwada: Gandhi Memorial College Srinagar conducts Cleanliness drive at Khanqah-e-Moula
SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 30: The NSS Wing of Gandhi Memorial College Srinagar conducted a mega cleanliness drive at Khanqah-e-Moula, Srinagar, as part of the Swachhata Pakhwada initiative.
The program was inaugurated by the Principal, Prof (Dr) G. M. Lone.
A group of 20 dedicated NSS volunteers, led by NSS Programme Officers Prof. Abida Manzoor, Prof. Tariq Ahmad, and Prof. Mohammad Zubair Ud Din, along with two faculty members from the Department of Life Sciences, embarked on foot to Khanqah-e-Moulla, a place of great religious, historical, and cultural importance.
The NSS volunteers then took on the responsibility of cleaning various areas within the Shrine compound at Khanqah-e-Moulla. Their efforts were highly appreciated by the administrators of Khanqah-e-Moulla.
Following the cleanliness drive, an awareness campaign was conducted in the nearby market at Khanqah-e-Moulla, further emphasizing the importance of cleanliness and hygiene.
Earlier, Prof. Mohammad Zubair Ud Din delivered an informative lecture highlighting the importance of Swachhata Pakhwada.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Prof. Fatima, expressing gratitude for the collective dedication to the cause of cleanliness.
