Swachhta Pakhwada; Widespread awareness and action seen across district Ramban
RAMBAN, AUGUST 02: Taking all the tasks on mission mode, the District Administration Ramban led by the Deputy Commissioner, Basseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary organized various activities on the second day of Swachhta Pakhwada across the district.
Awareness campaigns witnessed over 500 different activities like segregation of waste, Shramdaan, Rallies, Painting Competitions and plantation drives were held in multiple locations, engaging citizens, officials, and students. The initiatives aimed to promote cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental conservation.
The attractions of the day were awareness rallies and door-to-door campaigns on waste segregation and management, Shramdaan activities, including cleanliness drives and community service by the Municipal Council Ramban and Municipal Committees. Plantation drives, with saplings planted in public spaces and institutions by Forest and Health Departments and Engagement of Schools, Colleges in ‘Swachhta Pakhwada’ activities.
The district administration has encouraged widespread participation and ownership of Swachhta Pakhwada initiatives, ensuring a cleaner, greener, and healthier Ramban.
At Batote today, as part of the ongoing Swachhta Pakhwada with themes of ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ and ‘Ek Ped Shaheedon Ke Naam’ a massive plantation and sanitation drive was carried out in the CHC Batote and GPS Mainal.
In Block Ramban the Swachhta Pakhwada activities held including cleanliness drives in all the Panchayat Garhs, Schools and other public places. The awareness, about different kinds of waste, its segregations and scientific disposal, was also imparted among the participants at different locations in the Block Ramban.
Similar activities have been reported from Gool, Sangaldan, Gundi Dharam, Rajgarh, Ramsoo, Khari, Ukhral, and Banihal.
